grub, xorg and screen resolution issue after nvidia driver installation
Hi,
in kubuntu 15.04, "system settings > Hardware > Driver manager" suggested me to install nvidia driver 346.96 as i have on my laptop a GTX460M.
after installing i have several issues:
1. computer hangs at boot (at kubuntu logo)
2. once hangup at boot has bee solved by updating grub defaultGFXMode to 1280x1024, login screen and desktop is set to 1280x1024 while my monitor on my laptop is a 1920x1080.
So i tried to create a xorg.conf file but for an unknown reason it is not taken into account and not used.
How can i fix grub gfxmode, screen windows resolution as desktop resolution to 1920x1080 ?
