Installer stops at 33%

Hello.

Good morning.

This is the third time I try install Vivid Vervet release, (today I tried 04.10.2015 image), again the installation process stops at 33%.


Yesterday I tried it with the 04.08.2015 image, simply doesn't run ubiquity.

Today, using 04.10.2015 image, the installer stops at 33%. I'm trying to install this on Pt-Br.


Does anyone know how to fix it?

Yes, I checked md5sum of downloaded image (current Mint user with average knowledge of Linux)

I tried to install in English and obtained same result (installer stops at 33%)

If I remember correctly 33% is when it creates the ext4 partition? I had such an issue in Ubuntu that it would not format my hard drive, so I booted in live mode went into the partition manager (gparted or KDE partition manager), created a new partition table (msdos or gpt whichever you need), then it gave me 300Gb of unformatted space so I formatted it into ext4, applied the changes and exited.

Then after all of this, I started the Ubuntu installation and proceeded with the normal install procedure, it formatted my hard drive and installed perfectly.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

I would start with @KittyDealah's advice and pre-partition the drive how you want it first ,,,,,then just point the installer to your partitions using the "manual disk setup" choice at the disk set up screen .

Sorry my mistake, my HD has:
sda1-windows7
sda2-my documents (ntfs)
sda3-extended
sda5-/Mint 17.1 cinnamon
sda6-/home
sda7-Mint KDE

I'm trying to install on partition sda7.

Other standard install advice is to NOT check "Install updates", which appears on one of the early screens.

Today I installed 13.04.2015 iso image and this bug (installer stops at 33% when the format box was marked) wax fixed now, because I marked format box and installer ran well.

I had used the 08.04.2015 ISO and I had created this report:

Go to launchpad and mark it SOLVED.

I have commented that in this thread it has said the problem seems to be solved. I prefer that developers/maintainers decide if the problem is really solved.
