Cannot live edit network files [ftp] directly

I go on Dolphin >> Network >> MyFtpServer

I could just click on any file and kate would start so i could edit on the fly. Now it stopped working.

Are you running 15.04, or are you running plasma 5 on 14.10, using ppas?

I have not seen this in 15.04, but it was a common thing in 14.10 and plasma 5, with the mixing of kde4's and Plasma5's kio systems.

I cannot reproduce this myself, using ftp (until i reset my password on the one I use), but it works fine with ssh here, logging into another system and editing files.

I don't exactly know how mine got upgraded. I had installed Kubuntu 15.04 in another partition and when i came back on my main distro, i did apt-get dist-upgrade, i found the sources to be vivid. I guess i am on 15.04 now.

I was just trying to eliminate some possibilities.
I got my ftp login info, and it is working here properly.

You likely are missing some plasma 5 kioslave related package, but I can't say which one. (I am at work, so no Kubuntu near me)
