Hurrah, B2 successfully installed. Unlike B1 & alphas on my machine (AM3+ 6300 6 core, Nvidia GTX750ti 2mb), which constantly hard froze, all is now good. Started with the default nouveau driver. Limited desktop behaviour/ desktop effects. eg no wobblies. After testing for two days dared to install Nvidia 346.47. Again no hard freezes. But still no additional desktop effects. Are these on the bucket list please. Congrats on a great desktop.

I got wobbly windows, just got to turn them on 'System Settings -> Desktop Behaviour -> Desktop Effects' You will find wobbly windows in the list. -
For WW to appear on the list, compositor must be enabled. Found under Display and Monitor. Open GL2 must be ticked. I'm scared to do this. Someone below crashed the system doing this. Advice happily received, but not if it means hard freeze, fiddling around in the CLI and eventually reinstalling the OS.Comment

For me Open GL2 is enabled but I am using the AMD drivers and so far things are ok.Comment
