[64Bit Beta 2]-Successful Native Install But Can't Log In?

    Hi,

Just installed Kubuntu 15.04 64Bit Beta 2 from a DVD I burned of the downloaded ISO.
Installed to a desktop with AMD FX 3.5GHz CPU, 32GB RAM, & AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB PCIe graphic card.
The install finishes successfully I think (at very end the DVD is ejected and I have black screen and must hard reset?)

When I cold booted the system my LCD monitor turns off and nothing happens?
Only after rebooting(after above boot failure) I get some text options and I choose to boot the Kubuntu.
Kubuntu then boots into the desktop and I immediately updated the system.

I then installed the AMD proprietary display driver using Kubuntu's driver manager.
Install goes ok and then I reboot desktop and then I can't log in anymore to the O.S.?
I get the encrypted LVM password screen and then I try to enter password and the keyboard is not responding?

Any idea how I can boot successfully into Kubuntu 15.04 64Bit Beta 2 ?
I like Kubuntu best of all the Linux distros available, but 15.04 Beta 2 is a major disappointment...
    Thanks!

    Hi,

I Google'd a bit and found this bug.
Seems like it was a problem in Kubuntu 14.10 and was never fixed?

But 14.10 worked ! I can't log in either. After typing my name and password I get a black screen with a cursor. I did an install of the fglrx drivers from the command line. Very dissapointed to for something labeled as a finial beta.
