15.04 64Bit Beta1 Does Not Install In Current Linux VirtualBox?

    Hi,

I am trying to install Kubuntu 15.04 64Bit Beta1 into current Linux VitualBox with Kubuntu 14.10 64Bit host.
When I try to boot the ISO in VirtualBox I get a small screen with green lines?
Anyone know what must be done to install Kubuntu 15.04 64Bit Beta1 into current Linux VirtualBox?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

OK, I got the Kubuntu 15.04 64Bit Beta1 DVD ISO to boot to desktop in my Linux VirtualBox.
Problem now is I can't install the O.S. by clicking on the install now icon on desktop?
I click on it with the mouse cursor and nothing happens?
What must I do now to install Kubuntu 15.04 64Bit Beta1 into Linux Virtualbox guest?

    Thanks!

    Jesse

      Hi,

Still can't install current Kubuntu 15.04 64Bit Beta1 DVD ISO into current Linux VirtualBox.
I can boot the DVD ISO to a desktop, so is there something I can do to troubleshoot the installation not working?
Again, when I left-click the install icon on desktop, nothing happens?
I am dedicating 1GB RAM and 128MB VRAM to the Linux VirtualBox VM guest of Kubuntu 15.04 64Bit Beta1.
I am on a thin client with dual-core 1.2GHz Intel Celeron CPU with 8GB DDR3 RAM and Intel onboard graphics.
Thin client is running Kubuntu 14.10 64Bit with current proprietary Intel graphics driver.
(on same thin client I am running Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro 64Bit under a VMWare Player 7 guest).

      Thanks!

I'd suggest more ram, 2gb should be good. You could also try a daily build of the iso, though I had no troubles installing it in VB last time I tried it, probably one of the alphas.
