New 14.04 installation - Firefox can't see USB speakers

Just completed install of Kubuntu 14.04 with complete updates. Firefox will not use USB speakers - only internal built-ins. Amarok uses USB fine. Playback devices are set to USB speakers.

Any ideas as to what I should try?

IF you have sound playing in firefox AND you click the speeker icon in the system tray the slider on the rite should be the audio coming from firefox ,,,,,,,rite click the icon at the top of the slider point at "move" ,,,,if you see your USB speakers listed click it .

your welcome ,,,that feature for redirecting Audio streams is not vary obvious.
