Hmh, seem to have troubles with the latest update of libkf5sysguard5-data. It shows to be updated, but:

$ sudo apt-get upgrade

Why would libkf5sysguard5 still depend on 5.0.95 if 5.0.2 is already out? Interestingly, muon only shows libkf5sysguard5-data to be updated....

muon shows:

/var/cache/apt/archives/libkf5sysguard5-data_4%3a5.0.95-0ubuntu1~ubuntu14.10~ppa4_amd64.deb
trying to overwrite '/etc/dbus-1/system.d/org.kde.ksysguard.processlisthelper.conf', which is also in package ksysguard 4:5.0.95-0ubuntu1~ubuntu14.10~ppa5

Which for me looks like libkf5sysguard5-data depends on libkf5sysguard5, and libkf5sysguard5 has some file in the package which is owned by libkf5sysguard5-data (older one).

Try using sudo apt-get dist-upgrade (now full-upgrade).

upgrade
upgrade is used to install the newest versions of all packages currently installed on the system from the sources enumerated in /etc/apt/sources.list. New package will be installed, but existing package will never removed.

full-upgrade
full-upgrade performs the function of upgrade but may also remove installed packages if that is required in order to resolve a package conflict.

That doesn't run on my box:

The at-get -f install also fails with the same error. I thought muon would work better, but it also fails.

Other users that installed new systems (not upgrades) have run into:

You will need to force overwrite with:
sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/libkf5sysguard5-data_4%3a5.0.95-0ubuntu1~ubuntu14.10~ppa4_amd64.deb
I am completely baffled as to how new installs are affected and upgrades are not....

I never overcame that problem and rolled back in the end. It's going to be a serious obstacle for anybody going the upgrade route. I'm usually persistent on these things, but I just didn't see any way.

That's what it's called with the new command, apt. So either
sudo apt full-upgrade
or
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Just done an update and full-upgrade myself, and I see apt and apt-utils being upgraded, maybe you struck a problem being fixed.

It still doesn't accept it on my box. I got over the package conflicts, but there is still an issue with getting sddm to work. I let Scarlett Gately Clark know at her blog and she recognizes the issue. She's a good Linux soldier!

You may have to substitute the full path to the package with the error, /var/cache/apt/blah/mumble/gibberish.deb

This is still a tech preview, at least until 15.04, so there is still time for things to settle and the files to figure out where they'll live.
