    Accessing drives issue

I have just upgraded to 14.10 and cannot access any of my partitions and external drives any more, including USB sticks.
It looks like it is a permission issue but the chmod man pages i read, seem to deal with individual files only rather than whole partitions.
I dual boot with Elementary and there is no problem there so it is not a hardware issue and it worked perfect on 14.04.
Attached is a screenshot from Dolphin showing the error message it throws up.
    Anyone come across this issue?

Thanks millusions, i checked that and that was ok.
I could enter the dir but that was empty because nothing was mounted there.
I could mount the drives with the usual mount command but had to do that manually i found out.
But just did a upgrade and everything is working fine now.
I suppose you can expect things like that to pop up from time to time with a beta version.
But it,s all good now, thanks
