As the title says.
I have a few machines with samba, but only one of them has this behaviour :
If I want to connect to a share on it, it fails (no suitable ip found or some such)
If I do smbpasswd -a erwin (and restart smbd on the machine I want to connect to), then it works.
But if I shutdown the smb server and restart the next day, then connecting fails again.
So clearly the smbpasswd has not persisted.
How can that be ? (And where to look for a fix ?)
