Desktop launch icon for Google Chrome Calendar?

I want to creat a desktop launch icon / widget to open Chrome to a specific URL. In my case, it is my Google Calendar. There appear to be no native plasmoids to do this.

I tried creating a desktop icon for Chrome, and adding the url to the end of the command line, but either the syntax is wrong, or Chrome just won't accept the url as an argument.

Anyone know if this can be done? Chrome help claims that it can be done from Chrome itself, but it doesn't work for me. Chrome opens to the calender, but there is no desktop icon created.

    Thanks.

drag the "chrome" entry in the taskbar to the desktop and drop it ,,,,,,,you will get a launcher .

with widgets unlocked ,,,,,point at it ,,,,,,a bar will pop out one side ,,,,click the wrench .

click the icon box and select the google-chrome icon

on the "application" tab of the launcher settings dialog box place your URL at the end of the "command" line ....................

    seams to work @hear

OK, that worked. Don't know why it didn't before.

      Thanks.
