    Wallpaper ...

I swear ... what am I doing wrong tonight? I set a desktop wallpaper, but it doesn't persist upon re-booting.

(Rt-click on Desktop, Default Desktop Settings, Open, I get a jpg image from /home, Apply, OK, it looks good, re-boot, it reverts to some default wallpaper ...? Is that Lock Screen? Unlock then Lock Widgets?)

Well, now the problem seems to have vanished! (Boy, I'm making some stupid posts lately, seem to be having strange little glitches in this 14.04 (my 12.04 seems to be problem-free). E.g., now and then, in 14.04, the Klipper icon disappears, is not under Hidden icons, and is not even listed under the Add Widgets search.)

Klipper is located in Kickoff>applications>Utilities>Clipboard tool (Klipper) ,,,,,,,,click it to restart if it got closed and is not in the system tray.

(You know, of course, I was once again just testing to see if you knew that ...)

(cheap, but good enough; I wasn't sure about this, so I've sampled a few many several hundreds to be more certain through the years)

Re post #1, I am not certain, but I suspect I was not careful in checking the status of my widgets--locked or unlocked--as I was testing things by re-booting or by Ctrl-Alt-Del-ing. The wallpaper seems to be holding now.
