Not a big deal, just curious: (14.04) my Trash widget on the panel says Empty (and looks empty) when it is not (I can open it and see the trash). This a known issue? (I did try to search on this for several minutes.)

Update:
Yesterday, I rebooted and got the problem (above); I also got a problem (upon this re-boot) with the clock showing UTC rather than my correct time zone.
Now, I did Ctrl-Alt-Del and it has fixed the broken Trash can;
I fixed the clock by un-checking UTC (which somehow, on the above-mentioned re-boot, got checked!).
=> both problems are fixed, so far.
Any further input, please post ..

Naw, the Trash can isn't working. I emptied it, yet it shows one item (and the icon shows it in appearance and with the pop-up message when mouse hovering).An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way. Charles Bukowski

It seems to be working now.
How did you put the trash can inside itself?An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way. Charles Bukowski

Ya know, I usually get up fairly early, like 4-5 am. Fix a cup of green tea, head straight for my desktop PC. I almost never check Kubuntu first. I know better. I know I should give myself at least 10 minutes to fully wake up and come to all my senses. This morning, I broke that rule. I'm awake now.An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way.
