Subversion Server - Can You Recommend One For Kubuntu?

    Hi,

    I am a software developer who uses Kubuntu 14.04 L.T.S. 64Bit
and my team member uses Microsoft Windows 8 Pro 64Bit.

I need to host subversion server on my Kubuntu 14.04
and team member on Windows 8 needs to log into it.

Can someone recommend a Subversion server that would work for us?
    Thank you!

    Jesse

As far as I recall, subversion requires one to set up an apache web server as well as installing subversion

    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Subversion

Another type of version control system, the one all the cool kids are using is git
    https://help.ubuntu.com/lts/serverguide/git.html

There are a hundred bajillion how tos out there, so finding the right ones may be fun.
    There is also hosted stuff
    https://bitbucket.org/

      Hi,

      Thank you for the information.
I installed "Apache Subversion Server" and dependences using "Muon Package Manager".
      I have done this step.

I don't know how to put the software project's files into the new SVN folder?
Can someone help me, this is 1st time I am using SVN for software development...

      Thanks!

      Jesse
