    Kubuntu Fonts Problem

    Hello,

    my fonts and Style looks very ugly i try all possible setting and set to default setting but don't help. I set Hinting of Fonts to Max but no effect. How can i fix the bad look also Themes looking ugly.

    it sounds like a dpi issue,
    try : Fonts - system settings

    tick force dpi 96

    to check in console:

    xdpyinfo |grep dots

    mine on a 1920x1200 screen shows:
    resolution: 131x132 dots per inch
    K 14.4 64 AMD 955be3200MHz 8GB 1866Mhz 6TB Plex/samba.etc.+ Macbook Air 13".

      The following settings have been working well for me. I'm pretty sure they are from another thread on this site.

      Systems Settings/Application Appearance/Fonts - Use anti-aliasing, set to Enabled, open Configure, tick sub-pixel rendering RGB, Hinting style Slight

      and as stated above, tick Force fonts DPI 96

      and Apply
