    print screen

    Hi,

I have recently installed kubuntu 14.04 on my computer.

But I have one problem: the "print screen" key does not work : when I press it, no screenshot is taken : ksnapshot is not launched.

But, in the configuration, all seems to be OK :

If I click to change the hot key, and then I press "print screen" key,, "imprimer" is shown so the key seems to be well detected by the system.

Also, if I change the hot key to ctrl+D, it works find...

So, how can I make print screen functionnal ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Floréal.

On my keyboard I pressed the Print Screen key, and it does not appear that anything happens. But, if I then run KSnapshot by Kicker > Applications > Graphics > KSnapshot, a small window opens that shows the screen image that I just shot, along with buttons at the bottom of the window, offering commands for what to do with the image just shot. Are you not able to get the same results via the same process? I am not so sure that KSnapshot is supposed to run automatically when you press the Print Screen key. But, of course, it would run if you deliberately tell it to run via the Kicker menu.

FWIW, on my Trusty PrtScn starts ksnapshot, and I can see the binding in System Settings -> Shortcuts and Gestures -> Global Keyboard Shortcuts, KDE component: khotkeys.
