In another thread Behrooz reports a severe performance problem while doing large copies to USB. In attempting to help, I found that several people have solved the problem by replacing the CFS (completely fair) scheduler with one called the Brain *uck Scheduler (I kid you not), or BFS.
Now, this is a kernel patch, thus requires recompiling the kernel, beyond what most of us do, though in the past, it, or kernels including it, have been available for Oneiric. Does anyone know how BFS could be used easily with Trusty?
