Sound equalizer

I watch a lot of Satellite-TV and films through the computer. I need also an equalizer software to tune the sound so, that I can understand the spoken words. Up to now I could do that with the pulsaudio-equalizer but I can not find it anymore.
Can anybody direct me to that one or another similar one? Especially TV broadcasts are hard to understand. All help is much appreciated.

And a supplementary question: the Channel list in Kaffeine dates from about 2011. I can find no newer one. Does anybody know where I can get a recent one? I need only Astra and Hotbird.

· The Equalizer now works perfect.
· I am aware, that eventually I have to find something new if it is not possible to keep Kaffeine going.
· My needs are relative simple: Amarok during the day for background radio and Kaffeine for Satellite TV. I think this Media Centre is vastly overpowered for me. I am not interested in downloading and buying todays music, I prefer to stick to classics and Cool Jazz MJQ, Getz, Davies, Metronome Quintett, to illustrate the direction. And I think by now I have over 300 CDs, may of them digitalised on my computer.
