    KMail, I tried to correct wrong account set up, now I can't receive mail.

    I accidently set up KMail with the wrong account information. I tried to delete it and start over. My outgoing mail now works correctly but I get two error messages when I try to "Get Mail".

    The first that comes up all the time is "local folders: maildir "for collection: is invalid"

    The second is "The folder you deleted was associated with the account POP3 Account which delivered mail into it. The folder the account delivers new mail into was reset to the main Inbox folder."

    With POP3, mail is typically transferred from your server to your client and not kept on the server. So to avoid deleting any mail, I'd recommend you create another POP3 receiving account, this time with the correct settings. It will appear in the left side folder. Make sure it downloads mail properly. Then you can drag any mail from the inbox of the incorrect account into the inbox of the correct account. Finally, delete the incorrect account.
