Dolphin 'find' not working

Have read many items on this but need help.
I have just re-installed Kubuntu 14.04 and find that Dolphin search does not work.
It seems that Nepomuk is not running.
All I have is Nepomul Cleaner which doesn't offer any options
Any advice?

A new service called Baloo has replaced Nepomuk for indexing and searching files and emails. Check that the Baloo service is running on your machine. Open System Settings -> Desktop Search. Is Enable Desktop Search checked?

Look at System Settings > Desktop Search Advanced

I ran updates and now I have an 'Enable Desktop Search" check box which was set to 'yes' as default. Search is still
not working.
I do not have Desktop Search Advanced.
BTW this is a re-install of Kubuntu 14.04, I did not have this problem with the previous installation

Verify that you have baloo-kcmadv installed.

What's the output of balooctl status?

For other reasons, I decided to re-install Kubuntu 14.04 taking care to see if search on Dolphin was working.
As a result I'm pretty sure that on my previous install I lost the use of baloo because I transferred a lot of data from backup by restoring a number of folders simultaneously.
By resoring backup folders one-at-a-time search function works OK.
Does this make sense?
Anyway, running 'balooctl status' produces :-

Baloo File Indexer is running
Indexed 7033 / 7033 files
Failed to index 0 files

Which is no surprise!
