    Desktop larger then screen size.

I know this question was asked many times, but the answers i found are either outdated or i'm to stupid to follow them.

My monitor max resolution is 1440x900. But i would like to have larger "screen" with panning on edges so i can view in full hd(1920x1080) witchout rescalling to my monitor res, for example to take screenshots.

It would be perfect if it will be second desktop which i can switch to, when need, from the "normal" one.

The term you're searching for is "viewport" Whether or not you can do it and how to go about it are dependent on your system.
