Recently Switched to Kubuntu: Wow

I've been an Ubuntu user since 2005. I've used every iteration, but mostly stuck with Gnome 2, then Gnome 3, and then Unity. A little bit of Kubuntu over the years, but nothing long-term.
Maybe I was being adventurous... maybe I just wanted to try something new, but last evening I installed Kubuntu 14.04.1 and I have to say I like it's feel and polish. Being a Windows 7 user at work, it is not difficult at all to transition.

I believe there are tech previews of plasma 5 for 14.04 and the early releases of 14.10 already, see here:

Not sure if the fact that it's a preview in the beta releases means it won't be the default in 14.10 or not. Either way, the releases come quickly and we'll get it soon enough!

If you lurk on #kubuntu-devel, it is clear that Plasma5 will NOT be the default in 14.10. That said, feel free to test the Utopic Final release candidate: http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/m...nes/325/builds
