Terrible trouble & tedium transpiring Trusty Tahr

Trusty Tahr, thou hast me betrayed! Firstly, the download via torrent be that o' Saucy Salamander. That requireth me to update on me wee netbook, which taketh seemingly a fortnight. After the long tedium of downloads to upgrade to Trusty Tahr, I type with great anticipation the password and ... voilà ... I am greeted with a grey mist of a screen, not the operating system.

Oh, woe! Trusty Tahr, why hast thou withheld thy love? Why the plain grey screen and not the OS?

I shall try once again to conquer the beast, this time obtaining my Trusty Tahr via the direct download, not the torrent.
Kubuntu 22.04 (desktop & laptop), Windows 7 &2K (via VirtualBox on desktop PC)

Any chance you were watching re-runs of "The Tudors" while you wrote this post?
