Today at work I get a message that new Kubuntu is to download, but when I am upgrading, I am getting this:

    How to fix it?

I have also another ppa's added, I have disabled them and the problem still exists.

With do-release-upgrade I am getting this:
An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.

    This can be caused by:
    * Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu
    * Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
    * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu

Changing to another country - didn't solve my problem.

As you see from your output, the do-release-upgrade tool restores your sources.list things back to what they were before.

You might try changing to a different server/country , using the "Edit Software Sources" option in Muon
This used to be an option, and it was immensely useful, especially because I've often had upgrade issues with Kubuntu. Why'd they get rid of it?

My desktop upgrade from 13.10 (64bit) went very well. After 'testing' all my applications, the only thing I found buggy is Muon Discover; for instance try configuring the toolbar by adding items.
I don't think I will use it as I am a synaptic addict. The Muon Package Manager is also good to me.

My 13.10 upgrade seems sluggish. For example Starting dolphin takes for ages. My 14:04 update is fine.

Update worked on my Ivy bridge Intel laptop but still no go on my AMD desktop. Still getting the " An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade." error.

Upgrades went good on two computers. No problems. Have faster shutdown on the desktop after the upgrade.

No one solved this issue yet? I'm encountering the same problem.
