My sad story starts just after the "upgrade" sign appeared
on the message bar of my 13.11(I think) system; after a few days, and updated stuff,
I could no longer "click" on most things in any window. e.g.
I could click on the "K" icon and get the first stage, but
I could not click on anything on that first stage. This makes
the computer useless of course. Things on the bottom bar can
be clicked on so I "upgraded" 14.04; the upgrade worked. Linux
did not.
So I burned a 14.04 dvd for 64 bit 14.04 & attempted an install
on my other disk. The 14.04 cd 14.04 worked fine, the installed 14.04 did not.
ftr i tried kde mint for 64 bit & the dvd version did not function; same
problem.
Ah thinks I - perhaps my Logitech "Cordess Optical TrackMan" track ball
is broken so I pluged it into another machine and here it is working fine.
Any ideas?
Thank you for your time!
