really fast, but many things are not working [anymore]

What i "hate" about linux desktop is when stuff that sued to work perfeclty is suddenly not workinganymore. worse than that is when stuff that worked perfectly on certified hardware is suddenly not working anymore.

    here are my issues:

    1. bluetooth manager - this one never worked propperly - i can't turn it off it is eating my battery!!!! :
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...l/+bug/1272236

reported a bug some itme ago no one was assigned to it.

    2. Fn keys are not working anymore. the wi-fi never worked but now the brightes keys do not work as well:
    https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...ys-not-working

touchpad off button is also not working.
funny thing is only some are not working. fn for end, home, ins... work just fine

    3. print screen key doesn't laucnh ksnapshot anymore. no matter what i do it just won't obbey my command.:

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2u...it?usp=sharing

tried to set it up both way but it is just ignoring me. funny thing key is recognised+Fn key works in this case.

    4. now this is probably not so much Kubuntu issue as it is Skype issue. but it didn't appear in version 13.10. i can not turn on skype video during call eventhough camera works quite well in options where you select it. camera also works with Kamerka KDE application:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2u...it?usp=sharing

a bit annoying - if anyone knows a solution....

otherwise it's fast, seems stable. i've already managed to get printer working. just these issues i've noticed so far and are a bit annoying.

it's in the links. but still i could have added it:
    Laptop is
    HP Pavilion dm1
    CPU - AMD E-450

    GPU
    description: VGA compatible controller
    product: Wrestler [Radeon HD 6320]
vendor: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI]

camera is built in HP Truevision HD it is recognised well by system just not with Skype.

otherwise things work. i don't know about bluetooth since i do not have any devices to test it and i also do not know it's brand/chip. all i know is it doesn't turn off when i set it to turn off.

Fn keys worked before and just to make sure i am not crazy i tried Xubuntu 12.04 and indeed all Fn keys worked there.

Xubuntu was a live session. I am now testing with other non-debian distros with new kernel. so far It seems to be a kernel issue. OpenSUSE KDE live has same behaviour as Ubuntu.

so far ive establishes that in Ubuntu using acpi_listen the keys do not get registered. The prt sc key is strange though. it does get registered but nothing happens when i press it.

as a workarround i've setup Fn shortcuts that do not work as meta+F2 for example. and that works. however i can not bring prt sc under control. as that one is recognised.

iam downloading Chakra, Manjaro and Fedora to see if this is really a kernel or debian issue. NOte that a slightly newer model than mine is in Ubuntu certified. The difference i believe is in APU (newer model) and wi-fi. however even in this newr model things donot work as they should. they also do not work in older model than mine. so i am guessing all dm1 are affected.

Xubuntu 14.04 also doesn't work (onyl 12.04). another user found a bug report. apparently it affects more HP models. i posted into that bug hoping someone can fix it. in the mean time i am using work arrounds.
