i have samba configured on 2 Kubuntu 14.04 lts. One can be seen by other computers, both windows and another 14.04
However, one 14.04 machine can neither see nor be seen by the others. It doesn't even see the windows shares I know are there ( I set them up.) IN fact, it doesn't see it's own shares, so this may go beyond samba. The other computers can see this one as existing, but timeout looking for shares
