I have a clean install of Kubuntu 14.04 LTS on an old Dell Inspiron 8600. After initial install, wireless connection worked great. After updating and restarting system, I just got notifications that the wireless connection is deactivated and will not connect. If I disable wireless connections, delete the connection that was working and then enable wireless connections, it works again until I restart the system. After restart, the same problem is back. Has anyone experienced this kind of problem before? If so, did you find a solution to this? Also, if someone could point me to a process for debugging a wireless connection problem like this, I would greatly appreciate it!

I don't have a clue as to why this works, but I have found a solution to this problem. I deleted the wireless connection and then went into Connection Editor and manually added the wireless connection with the "All users may connect to this network" option checked rather than connecting through the applet in the system tray. Now when I restart the computer, the connection continues to work. Who knew...
