    [sudo] password for virgil:

    Consult /var/lib/dkms/bbswitch/0.7/build/make.log for more information.

It looks to me as if the install of 4.2.5 went wrong. Not all wrong, but something messed up

BTW, switched computer to a viewsonic 27" monitor. Brighter than the 24" It's still at 1280x1024 though

Yeah, I agree. Seems to be a kernel issue.

This may be par of the issue:
      Consult /var/lib/dkms/bbswitch/0.7/build/make.log for more information.
You might want to remove this package and try dkms autoinstall again.|

      The package is bbswitch-dkms

Yeah, you're not going to get that kernel working right now. The only other things I can suggest are go back to an earlier kernel or add the xorg-edgers ppa and try ndivia-355

Went back to 3.14 and 3.13 Neither worked. Made a backup. Will reinstall. This time, will make a clonezilla image and put it on the external as well
