Okay so I am unsure what standard ubuntu has that Kubuntu doesnt but I havb e never been able to get my printer/scanner to work under Kubuntu 14.04 64bit LTS.
I have a HP Envy 4200 that works overall but in Ubuntu, not its KDE cdounterpart thus why i am using Ubuntu instead.
Now I could install kde desktop to fix this issue as I really dont want to be using unity here soon as it will be a mess by 16.04 but I should not have to.
Can somesone help me solve this printer/scanner mystery?
I mean i did what I was supposed to, install HPLIP and its gui but it doesnt seem to detect the printer scanner unless I hook it up via USB something else I should not have to do.
This is a wireless scanner after all.
