LO (4.2.2) fully functional in Precise (32 bit, KDE 4.12.2) works fine
In Trusty (LO 4.3.2, KDE 4.12.97 also 32 bit):
when I start Writer direct, it doesn't response to any input.
when I start it by clicking on a odt or doc file, it works
when I start it throught te general LO icon, which gives you the screen where you can choose your recently edited files (forgot the name), the program starts and I can start a new file.
when I start Calc, no problem and I can choose new textdocument and it works.
It is only not maximized which it should do in plasma-netbook.
So I can work with it. But it is weird.

I did not not remove libreoffice-kde. I waited for the updates instead.
Today I updated trusty (649 upgraded, 6 newly installed, 2 to remove and 0 not upgraded). The last time I updated was April 4th. LibreOffice updates were included. I am now on KDE Development Platform: 4.13.0 and the kernel is 3.13.0-24-generic. LibreOffice is working without issues now.
LibreOffice:
Version: 4.2.3.3
Build ID: 420m0(Build:3)sigpic
