    "Find" in Dolphin no longer works. [baloosearch?]

    Find no longer works in Dolphin for me. I see "baloosearch - / -- Dolphin" in the title bar while using it.

    After an earlier update the Dolphin Find would turn up files and folders without the word I searched for in the results. Now with the current updates and a reboot, nothing shows up in searches. Even if I search for the exact file name of a file in the current directory. Anyone else experiencing this?

    Riddell vHanda: just been testing baloo and upgrades from 4.12, all works well except filename search in dolphin, do you know of any problems in that area? [12:22]
    vHanda yes, you'll have to try again with beta 3 [12:23]
    Riddell vHanda: ah, known problem? do you have a bug number? [12:24]

    If this is with the latest version file a bug ...

    Quick test - Is the search through the Krunner working ?

      You can disable baloo in system settings>desktop search. Just add partitions/folders you don't want to be indexed by baloo and baloo will be disabled.

        The version is whatever is the latest in Kubuntu 14.04. I just upgraded and rebooted now. The KDE packages are version 4:4.12.95-0ubuntu1. Search in Dolphin still does not work. Krunner does find application names as I type them.

        The package "kde-baseapps" is not installed. I notice that it wants to install a package called "kfind" which I don't have installed. Is this required for searches in dolphin to work?

        I don't want to disable baloo, I just want find to work. If baloo makes it work faster, that would be great.

          I installed kfind. It looks like it's just a stand alone file searching program. Finding files with that works. Though it still does not work in Dolphin.

            Is the find function in Dolphin working for everyone else? I notice it does work, but only has some small amount of the files indexed.

              Yes. Because the default location changed between betas.

              No. You will need to tell it to reindex everything as well.

                Code:
                $ qdbus org.kde.baloo.file /indexer updateAllFolders false
                Find in Dolphin is now working!
