Possible issues with hdmi playback, and composition settings.

Hello! These are two bugs that have followed me since I bough the computer 6 months ago and my lazy ass just expected them to work in 14.04 but to no avail. I am unsure whether this is the right place to post this, but here it goes. Bear in mind that I am a gui linux user with little to no clue about the terminal and bug reporting.

My laptop runs the intel hd 4600 graphics “card” and I guess that's the trigger for all of this.

    1. bug is when using the sound on the hdmi adapter. Everyone sounds like smurfs and I suspect the video is also moving a bit faster. Everything runs normal if I use the headphone output. I have replicated this bug on a friends computer also running the intel 4600. This bug looks really similar to this one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...x/+bug/1245226

    2. bug is more trivial, but still a bit annoying. Screen shots:

These are the settings which prevents me from getting horizontal tearing in full screen video, unfortunately my settings bug out every time I restart. The settings are just like this, but I have to change compositioning type to 3.1, press apply, change it to 2.0 again, press apply, then select suspend desktop, press apply, and then it works again. Simply unselecting suspend desktop and then selecting it again doesn't work.

As I said earlier, I am a gui user with no knowledge on how to report bugs but I think at least the first one was so serious it needed reporting.
