I think editing it to:
Code:[Basic Settings] Enabled=false Indexing-Enabled=false
will do the trick, but I haven't tested it. You'll probably need to logout or reboot after changing it.

Baloo does seem *much* better than nepomuk in that regard but it is facing very poor user expectations from the nepomuk legacy. The option to turn it off just in case would be useful.

Edit: I haven't read the following posts. So, yeah, when it's hogging resources and/or in case of malfunction it would be useful to have the option to disable it, just in case.Last edited by geoaraujo; Mar 29, 2014, 07:16 PM.

I have occasional crashes of the baloo indexer but It never seems to interfere with anything I'm using and appears to be working inside Dolphin."A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.”

So, sometimes when I turn the computer on, I get the unuseful gui with blackened screen. Rather annoying.
And, today I experienced my first Kernel Panic ever! It was not nice at all! I took a picture of the event, but I don't know if it's useful for telling what's wrong. Oh, and I don't want to hijack the thread, so, if any administrator feels so, please move this post to a new one.
