Plasma 5 Desktop

Hi, I'm trying to use the new plasma 5 desktop using the following procedure from the KDE page

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/next
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ci-train-ppa-service/landing-005
apt update
apt install kubuntu-plasma5-desktop
apt full-upgrade

when i get to apt install kubuntu-plasma5-desktop it says not found

Can anyone give me any help, i'd prefer not to install a separate desktop environment just replace plasma 4

@ hear it wont ,,,,,I am not root ,,,I must use sudo.

It all worked up the line i said, then it just craps out with a not found error

Following Rog132's instructions in another thread, what worked for me is to add the ppas, update, do a full upgrade. 'plasma-desktop' isn't installed; install it. Reboot.

as I read it ,,,,,this PPA ppa:kubuntu-ppa/next will replace your plasma-4 ,,,,,,and this one ppa:neon/kf5 will add plasma-5 as a log in session ,,,,,will try after looking at the live.ISO

The 'kubuntu-plasma5-desktop' is part of the kubuntu-plasma5-meta and it is under the 'Latest Updates'

I get the same results where kubuntu-plasma5-desktop is not found.

Is this not an option for 14.04?

Seems 14.04 can only do the Project Neon at this time.

Corodius just out of pure curiousity, will there (eventually) be packages for Kubuntu 14.04, in some form (I assume a different PPA) for KF5/Plasma 5 similar to Kubuntu-Next PPA? Or will it only be packages as project neon 5 is now? just curious as I said 11:15

Riddell Corodius: I doubt we will package KF5 for 14.04, I don't think there will be much demand and it'll take a lot of time 12:24
