So I guess this is a bug then? Is it a repo-list thing? I just have the default repos installed. If not, I guess I'll have go back to opensuse, at least for now.

      Thanks Again, Patti

        You used: sudo apt-get -f install ia32-libs-multiarch_20090808ubuntu36_i386.deb
        Claydoh used:
        sudo dpkg -i ia32-libs-multiarch_20090808ubuntu36_i386.deb

        Try his approach.

if you need a 32bit package to run something then you only need to install it.
To install 32-bit version of a package you append ":i386" to name.

example for 32bit qt4 you would use
            Code:
            sudo apt-get install libqt4:i386

This is good if you know everything about yor package and/or with repo software - but if you don't and your a noob like me, you just install full 32-bit support. Hard drives are huge these days. Anyway, still not running. In Opensuse and previously in kubuntu, I just installed a generic 32-bit support package. This was helpful for noobs. For instance, it's not obvious to me that installing both versions of any given package wouldn't generate problemos...

I just thought I'd stop back by and see if I could understand some sort of fix for 13.x
