record with audacity

I have a problem with Audacity. I can't record any sound with Audacity. I can listen, but not record. Any idea ?

you have not given anyone mutch to go on ,,,,,,but lets try .

have a look at this screen shot and see if your input and output settings look similar ,,,,, the volume control GUI is pulse audio volume control or " pavucontrol" as a package name .
