dumb question system information

Hi this is a simple question for a dumb reason.

I was at a chemistry conference over the weekend and had just upgraded to Saucy the day before and made a brief post about it then left for the conference.

While half asleep in the hotel room I was on my phone perusing both Saucy in Ubu and Kubu reviews and Wheezy reviews and also at Debian.

Gist is this: I ...........THOUGHT..... that I read about a "new" system information center of some kind that ....and this was the rather remarkable thing, quickly and succintly provided info as to the relaese etc.

Wellll I'm back and can't seem to find such either on the Saucy system OR in reviews about Wheezy.

Kinfo center in about system says 13.10. But, it appears to me as it always has.

BUT, it doesn't "ring a bell" in terms of what I remember about the "new center" in a review.

Later in the evening I also perused a couple of other distro reviews, on the phone, not a computer, sooo am I mistakenly thinking about one of their such?

just a question no biggie. System works fine! lol

Hi guys, you have both gone to waay more trouble than this dumb question is probably worth.

The problem may be my blood sugar.

Food at the conference was all rabbit food for politically correct emaciated women, and a few guys, running the thing, I just felt down the whole weekend. I rode down and back with some other people and they didn't stop to eat.... and this morning even wandered off to visit with the admins here at the college before class started and was late back to class( I am NEVER late to class! ) !

I then put about five spoons of sugar in my normally black coffee! And later went to the commissary and got a turkey sandwich.

But...to the thing.... What I "SEE" in my mind is the "front page introducing the distro" those "nicely displayed diagonal screenys", etc. that had screenshots, and I just really looked at two, Debian Wheezy and Kubuntu Saucy... again on my phone and late at night.

But, it may have been the screeny by SR, but the operative thing was that the information one normally needed to get from terminal was very nicely displayed on the screen and that there was a specific NEW button, supposedly, in the menu, for... "system information". not Kinfo ...

Hey, thanks again, but this is probably a non-issue thing and I may have seen it at another distro review, i looked at Haiku, and BEOS.

Anywhooooo I think I have discovered that it was, indeed, that provided by Rog below. In the review from DW the fellow mentions "three new things in system settings" and thee is a new button down at the bottom left which is "about system" and when it is clicked, apparently, I'm at the college, it does indeed give what was posted earlier in this thread:



It just seems, in my mind, that the image was "kind of diagonal" in presentation and on the main site, not from a review, but...I think my dumb question was just that!
