I'm new to kubuntu, linux. ok my question is whenever i click on muon update manager the circle in the middle keeps going round and round i never see any updates, can you help me please. also is muon package manager the same as muon update manger if it is do i really need mueon update manager. i'm a beginner on linux.

The updater, package manager, and Discover/Software Center are separate components of the same overall suite. The updater does have a bug, which you are seeing. You can use the Package Manager to update your system without problems I don't think you will see problems there.

the "update manager" will get fixed soon ,,,,,,,in fact I got some updates for it today , if it's fixed now I do not know I just got them
the bug did not get me the same way it seems to be geting every one else , for me I would see a update icon in the system tray with a popup telling of some # of updates ,,,I would click the icon ,,,, the update manager would come up and the circle would spin for a wile then it would pronounce "your system is up to date" I then would click the "more" button (lower left) and click check for updates ,,,,and it would spin the circle once more then show and install them but always more than the origanal # of updates.
