I dont see skins anywhere in the menus...

I never understood skins anyway. Why would I want all my programs to be differently themed?? That sounds hideous!

Linux because it works. No social or political motives in my decision to use it.

I do not see how to change colors either.

oops, sorry there. I should have said.........KDE's color schemes, any anyone?

As in, Amarok in those images is just using using different system-wide color schemes as chosen in System Settings

                        Theming ?

I don't use the Amarok so I can't say if the theming is working with the current Amarok but the KDE Forums tells: http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=117&t=74039

The KDE-Look has Amarok Themes sub group: http://kde-look.org/index.php?xcontentmode=55

One of the themes is telling: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php...content=111888
Re: Re: Nice, but how to install?
by Vistausss on: Oct 10 2009

I found out how to install Amarok themes. Thanks to the author of the Neon suite.

"Extracted images should be moved to :
                        ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/images

(create the folder if it doesn't exist)"

So in this case, default-the-clean.svg should be extracted into ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/images
At my computer, the "images" folder wasn't there, so I created it and this theme now works.

I am VERY sure that quite a few people will attempt what was outlined in your post, myself included!
