Update to Kubuntu 14.04 - is it dangerous?

Hi,

I use Kubuntu 13.10 on my laptop. Tommorow will be a premiere of Kubuntu 14.04. I know that it is possible to update current version to the newest version of Kubuntu, but my question is...
Are any possibilities of failure? Drivers will work fine after update and all installed application and stored documents will be still there?

For myself, I've had absolutely no problems when I upgraded from 13.10 x64 to 14.04 x64. I'm using an older (2008) Compaq 8710w workstation laptop with Nvidia Quadro graphics, and Intel wireless driver.

You might want to tell us what brand of laptop and the hardware specs and if you're duel-booting with Windows, this way others can identify any compatibility problems you may encounter.

Yep, it's Asus X73SV - Intel Core i7 2670QM, 8 GB Ram, GT540 M & Intel HD3000. Is Kubuntu 14.04 Final available? I have WIndows 7 too...
