Ok I've got a Haswell i5, Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3 and a Radeon HD 7790. I currently have a Grub2 triple boot: Opensuse 12.3 (which I use) Kubuntu 13.04 and Mint 15 Kde. The Kubuntu installation got messed up trying to install the proprietary drivers, but the other two installations are running fine and all three installed OK. With 13.10 neither Ubuntu or Kubuntu live boots properly, they both load to a cli login rather than the Live kde graphical interface, that is normally expected. I've checked and I can still live boot Opensuse 12.3.
If I take out the Graphics card. I can live boot Ubuntu 13.10. I didn't try Kubuntu 13.10, because I thought at that stage I might have a hardware fault and my vendor only deals with Ubuntu. One other thing I noticed, was that booting with the graphics card Ubuntu/ Kubuntu 13.04 live stick would only boot with the internal graphics set to disabled in the UEFI, while Opensuse 12.3 live would live boot with the internal graphics set to auto.
