Is the boot loader install bug fixed ?

I have an existing opensuse 12.3 installation that I do not want to lose/repair. For 13.04 and 13.10 beta, I did not have success with setting up dual boot and had to re-install opensuse in a second parition just to get usable boot loader back. Don't want to go through that again.
