Dual Boot - Can't Boot Kubuntu

Erm ... no ...

So, I redid it and .... IT WORKS!! Both Kubunutu and Windows now boot up fine.

YES! Finally! What a pain in the you-know-what, eh?

The avahi bug shouldn't cause any problems. It looks to me like it's trying to start twice. I believe it's been fixed downsteam. You might do a full update:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

and see if it goes away.

Yeah, it was a bit of a baptism by fire, but I've learnt a lot through the process, so it was really worthwile (for me at least).

I've done all those things you just went through a ton of times. One of the best things you can take away from this is how much you've learned already and now you'll have more confidence the next time something breaks. With very few exceptions, if you stick with a problem long enough, you'll find solution.
