Hey!
Hope you guys and gals can help. Today I decided to install the Linux Mint 16 RC, opting to wipe out my Windows partition and have it on SDA1 as part of a dual boot with Kubuntu 13.10 on SDA6. After doing so however, whenever I boot up Kubuntu the pretty splash screen is no longer, and has been replaced with a sort of text based thing. I should add these are 64 bit versions, and I am using the proprietary Nvidia driver across both systems. Usually when I install this driver I do have to perform a splash screen fix using the kde-grub-config module, but this isn't having any effect.
is there any way to recover the nice splash screen again on Kubuntu? How would I go about doing this? Many thanks all.
