Please do not use the CODE tag when pasting content that contains formatting (colored, bold, underline, italic, etc).
The CODE tag displays all content as plain text, including the formatting tags, making it difficult to read.
Nope! despite some polish needed on the corners, I like this one better too
Ditto!

Count me in for liking the new one better as well. The old one was very unintuitive for moving around different views and getting to and from the settings for a particular connection.
In it's present shape it works OK but I'm still missing a decent search function for WIFI.
In mine, the widget displays all the wi-fi networks that Network Manager discovers:
plasma-nm (the widget) itself doesn't talk to the network card, and only displays whatever Network Manager knows about. wpa_supplicant continuously scans and informs Network Manager of new wi-fi networks, which plasma-nm then shows.
