    Connecting my phone?

How do I get pictures from my AT&T branded Pantech Pocket?
    Model number PantechP8000
    Android version 2.2.1
Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

That's a Froyo device, USB should be just fine. When you connect the device, do you get any kind of notification?

/Android 4.0+ devices utilize MTP (rather than USB), which does work in Kubuntu btw.

I got it my phone had to be turned off and back on. Apparently its operating system got messed up. That's Adroid for you. Seems to take after Windows.

You could also try KDE Connect. Works well for transfering photos. Also, when you connect by USB, you must follow a certain procedure. I have 4.0.4 on my phone, and when I want to connect via USB, I go to Settings/More/USB utilities, and press on Connect storage to PC, and then have to wait until it says I can connect the USB cable. If you plug in the cable at the beginning, it won't work, at least on my phone.
