Muon menu bar missing

There is a bug report filed on this as of 2013-07-05. I've seen it before, but have no recall of any fix for it.

The problem exists on my netbook but not on my desktop. I tried a complete reinstall after a purge, and the problem was in no way resolved.

Any ideas or knowledge as to possible resolutions?

Just to make sure - menubar (File, Edit, View, Help) or Toolbar (icons)?
Also does this apply only to Muon update manager, or also for Muon Software center and Muon package manager?

Yes, it applies only to Muon update manager, but not to Muon Software center or Muon package manager.
