    Clock constantly 5 hours ahead...

I know this is simple, but I seem to be missing something....
I have set my timezone to Central Time and rolled the clock back to the correct time, but after a reboot it always goes back to being 5 hours ahead.

This is driving me nuts! Any thoughts?
    Thanks,

    Craigbert

do you dual boot kubuntu and windows? if so window will set the hardware clock to local time and linux to UTC this may explain your time difference. if not please see the artical on the front page about timezones being incorrect. http://www.kubuntuforums.net/content...s-create-a-fix

In effect I do. I have two hard drives: one linux and one windows. The linux one is in most of the time, but sometimes I do have to put the windows one in.
I have tried fixing it in the BIOS, but to no avail.
      I have posted the output.

So is there nothing I can do to fix this other than just manually adjust it?
      Thanks,

      Craigbert

you can set windows to use UTC for hardware clock this will stop the changing (hopefully) searching for "windows UTC Hardware Clock " one of those should provide a way to do it.
