Kslideshow?

I can't find a slideshow setting for the screen saver (now called "screen locker" for some reason), but then I found out about kslideshow.kss at

I set it up to run, but now cannot figure out how to turn it off.

(1) How do I turn off kslideshow.kss?

(2) What happened to the slide show in System Settings?

Thanks for the pointers. However, when I look in System Settings > Display and Monitor > Screen Locker (which I had already done), I do not see Slide Show. Even tho kslideshow.kss is available.

The Kslideshow is part of the package kscreensaver

Check that your installation is OK.


Something to try:

sudo apt-get clean

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install --reinstall kscreensaver

Something to test/check:

Make a new user and check if the new user has the same problem.

I think I understand you to mean that I stop the screen saver, uh, sorry, locker by mouse or keyboard activity. BUT if I don't do anything for a while, it will come back on again, won't it? At least that is how it works if you configure it with System Settings.

Anyway, it seems to be off now. I have chosen the clock for a screen saver,... oh damn, locker.
